Defination of Past Perfect continuous tense & their uses.

 ** ( Past Perfect continuous Tense)

সংজ্ঞা: অতীত কালৰ দুটা ঘটনাৰ আগৰে পৰা চলি থকা ঘটনাটো বুজাবলৈ যি Tense ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়, তাকে Past perfect continuous tense বুলি কোৱা হয়।(The technology used to explain the events that have been going on before two events of the past is called past perfcut continuous tanse.)

Structure:-
S + had + been + V₁ + ing + O
** ব্যৱহাৰ( use):- অতীতত কোনো এটা কাম আৰম্ভ হৈছিল আৰু নিৰ্দিষ্ট সময়লৈকে চলি আছিল এনে অৰ্থ বুজাবলৈ Past perfect continuous Tense ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। (Past perfect continuous means are used to explain the meaning that a work has started in the past and was going on for a certain period of time.)
যেনে:- 1) এসময়ত চল্লিশ বছৰ ধৰি একেৰাহে বৰষুণ দি আছিল।
=> Once upon a time , it had been raining for forty years.
2) ৰিপভান উইংকল একেৰাহে বিশ বছৰ শুই আছিল।
=> Ripvan winkle had been sleeping for twenty years.
3) তেওঁ তিনি বছৰ ধৰি অসমত বাস কৰিছিল।
=> He had been living in Assam for three years.
4) যোৱা পোন্ধৰ বছৰ ধৰি মই এইখন স্কুলত কাম কৰি  আছিলোঁ।

=>  I had been serving in this school for the last fifteen years.

5) তালৈ যোৱাৰ আগতে মই বহুদিন ধৰি জ্বৰত ভুগিছিলোঁ।
=> I had been suffering from fever for along time before I went there.
6) বৰষুন দিয়া সময়ত সিহঁতে খেলি আছিল।
=> They had been playing when the train showered.
7) সিহঁতে খেলি থাকোতেই ধুমুহা আহিছিল।
=> The storm lashed when they had been playing.
8) মই ঘূৰি অহাৰ আগৰে পৰা ৰেল গাড়ীখন থিয় হৈ আছিল।
=> The train had been standing before I came back.
9) ধুমুহা অহাৰ সময়ত জাহাজখন উজাই গৈ আছিল।
=> The ship had been sailing up stream when the storm lashed.
10) শ্ৰেণীবোৰ চলি থকা সময়ত পৰিদৰ্শক আহিছিল।
=> The Inspector came when the earthquake rocked.
11) আমি আহি পোৱাৰ আগতে সিহঁত আহিছিল।
=> They had came before we arrived.
12) তেওঁ খায়েই আহিছিল।
=> He had been eating.
13) বৰষুণ দিয়েই আছিল।
=> It had been reading.
14) সি শুয়েই আছিল।
=> He had been sleeping.
15) ৯ টা বজালৈ ৰৈ আহিছিলো মই।
=> I had been waiting till 9.
