** Present Continuous Tense or Progressive Tense:-  যি কোনো এটা কাম নিৰ্দিষ্ট সময়ৰ ভিতৰত কৰি থকা বুজালে তাক Present continuous  Tense বুলি কোৱা হয়। ( Any work that is understood to be done within a specified time is called Present Continuous Tense) সাধাৰণতে Present continuous Tense ৰ বাক্যত verb ৰ শেষত ing যুক্ত হয়। (Usually the word present continuous tense is added to the ing end of verb.)

Structure:-
S + Be.verb + M.V + ing + O
                     or
S + am/is/are + V₁ + ing + O

Conjugation of the verb to ( eat)
I am eating rice.
We are eating rice.
You are eating rice.
He/She/ it is eating rice.
They are eating rice.
**Present continuous Tense ৰ  ব্যৱহাৰ:-
1) বৰ্তমান সময়ত কোনো এটা কাম হৈয়ে আছে বা চলি আছে কিন্তু শেষ হোৱা নাই বুজাবলৈ Present continuous Tense ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। (Present continuous means are used to explain that something is currently in progress or is going on but not finished) যেনে:-
1) লৰাবোৰে পথাৰত খেলি আছে।
=> The boys are playing in the field.
2) এতিয়া সি এখন কিতাপ পঢ়ি আছে।
=> Now he is reading a book.
3) গৰুবোৰে পথাৰত ঘাঁহ খাই আছে।
=> The cattle are grazing in the field.
4) বৰষুণ দি আছে।
=> It is raining.
5) কমলাই এখন চিঠি লিখি আছে।
=> Kamala is writing a letter.
6) মাই ভাত ৰান্ধি আছে।
=> Mother is cooking the meal.
7) সিহঁত গছৰ তলত বহি আছে।
=> They are sitting under the tree.
8) মৌ মাখিবোৰ ফুলৰ ওপৰত উৰি ফুৰিছে।
=> The bees are flying over the flowers.
9) সিহঁতে গছৰ তলত কি কৰি আছে?
=> What are they doing under the tree?
10) তুমি কি বিচাৰিছা।
=> What are you looking for ?
12) সি শুই থকা নাই।
=> He is not sleeping.
13) ৰীনাই গান গাই আছে।
=> Rina is singing a song.
14) তেওঁলোকে পথাৰত খেলি আছে।
=> They are playing in the field.
15) সিহঁত তোমাৰ বাবে ৰৈ আছে।
=> They are waiting for you.
16) মই পঢ়ি আছো, মোক আমনি নকৰিবা।
=> I am reading, do not disturb me.
17) মই সদায় পানী উতলাই খাওঁ।
=> I always boil water before I am drinking it.
18) অনুগ্ৰহ কৰি গান গোৱা বন্ধ কৰা কাৰণ মই কামক চেষ্টা কৰি আছো।
=> Please stop singing because I am trying to work.
19) গন্ডগোল বন্ধ কৰা মই ৰেডিঅৰ পৰা খবৰ শুনি আছো।
=> Stop that noise ! I am listening to news the radio.
20) মই পোষ্টত কাম কৰিবলৈ গৈ আছো।
=> I am going to apply for the post.
21) তেওঁ শুই থকাৰ কাৰণে তোমাক এতিয়া লগ কৰিব নোৱাৰে।
=> He is sleeping and can not meet you now.
22) আকাশখন চোৱা তৎক্ষনাত বেছি বৰদষুণ দি আছে।
=> Look at the sky, it is going to rain very soon.
2) ** ভৱিষ্যত হব লগা নিৰ্ধাৰিত কাম বা আসন্ন ভৱিষ্যত ( immediate Future ) অৰ্থাৎ ক্ষন্তেক সময়ৰ পাছত হয় ) বুজাবলৈ Present continuous হয়। (Present continuous tense is used to explain the work that is set to take place in the future.)
যেনে:-
         1) অহা মাহত মই কলিকতালৈ যাম ।
          I am going to calcutta next month.
         2) কাইলৈ ইন্সপেক্টৰ আমাৰ স্কুললৈ আহিব।
          The inspector is coming to our school tomorrow.
          3) এই বছৰত বৰ গৰম পৰিব।
           It is going to be very hot this year.
          4) অলপতে তেওঁ এটা নতুন ব্যৱহায় আৰম্ভ  কৰিব।
           He is going to start a new business shortly.
           5) মই তোমালোকক এটা সাধু কথা কম।
           I am going to tell you a tale.
3) সাময়িকভাৱে আহৰণ কৰা অভ্যাসৰ কথা প্ৰকাশ কৰিবলৈ Present continuous tense ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। (Present continuous tense is used to newly acquired habit or temporary habit.)
যেনে:-
1) মানুহে এইদিন অধিক মাংস খাই আছে।
=> People are eating more meat these days.
2) আমাৰ বৰ্তমান বৰষুণৰ বতৰ আছে।
=> We are having rainy weather at present.
4) কোনো ব্যক্তিয়ে সদায় একেধৰণৰ কামকে কৰি থাকিলে অলপ বিৰক্তিত always-অৰ লগত present continuous tense ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। ( Present continuous tense is used with always a little bit of annoyance when someone is doing the same thing.) যেনে:-
1) ৰামে সদায় চিঞৰ-বাখৰ কৰি থাকে।
=> Ram is always shouting.
2) তাইৰ কোনো দিনেই আপত্তি নুগুচে।
=> She is always complaining.
4) ** Going to ৰ ব্যৱহাৰ:(use of going)
1) ভৱিষ্যতে কোনাে এটা কাম সম্পাদন হব এনে অৰ্থ বুজাবলৈ " Going to form " ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। ( "Going to form" is used to make sense of where a task will be performed in the future.)
যেনে:-1) মোৰ বন্ধুলৈ চিঠি এখন লিখাটো মোৰ ইচ্ছা কৰিছো ।
     I am going to write a letter to my friend.
2) আমি এই আবেলি ফুটবল খেলিবলৈ গৈ আছো।
=> We are going to play football this afternoon.
2) ** Likelihood ( সম্ভাৱনা ) বুজাবলৈ  " Going to " ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয় l
  1) বতাহ বলিব ।
=>The wind is going to fall.
  2) বৰষুণ আহিব ।
 => It is going to rain.
   3) আমি ফুটবল মেচত জিকিম।
 => We are going to win in the football match.
   4) বৰষুণ হ'ব, সেই ডাৱৰবোৰ চাওঁক।
=> It is going to rain, look at those clouds.
   5) তেওঁ অতি অসুস্থ, মই ভয় কৰোঁ যে তেওঁ মৰিব।
=> He is very ill, I am afraid he is going to die.
   6) মই তেওঁক কিছু টকা দিবলৈ গৈ আছো।
=> I am going to give him some money.
   7) তেওঁ আপোনাক এটা কাহিনী ক'বলৈ গৈ আছে।
=> He is going to tell you a story.
   8) আমি জিকিবলৈ গৈ আছো।
=> We are going to win.
=> ( বতাহ যেন এইমাত্ৰ বলিব, আমি যেন এইমাত্ৰ জিকিম, বৰষুণ এইমাত্ৰ আহিব এনে অৰ্থত ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হৈছে।)
5) ভৱিষ্যতৰ কথা বুজাবলৈ (emphasis কৰি) continuous tense-অত ' going to ' ব্যৱহাৰ কৰা হয়। (Continuous tense(emphasis ) going to is used to explain the future.)
যেনে:-
1) I am going to tell your father.
=> দেউতাৰাক কৈ দিম তোমাৰ।
2) I am going to buy a car.
=> গাড়ী এখন কিনি আছো মই। অৰ্থাৎ কিনিমেই।
3) I am not going to tell anybody.
=> কাক কো নকওঁ মই।
4) I am going to complete it today by any means.
=> আজি মই যিকোনো প্ৰকাৰে এইটো complete কৰিমেই।
6) ** Verb of preception:- কিছুমান verb ৰ ক্ষেত্ৰত কামটো চলি থকা বুজাবলৈ Present continuous Tense ৰ ব্যৱহাৰ নহয়। Simple present Tense ৰ সহায়তে কামটো চলি থকা বুজোৱা হয়। সেইবোৰক চমুকৈ verb preception বুলি কোৱা হয়। ( Present continuous Tense is not used to explain the work going on in some verbcases. The work is underway with the help of Simple Present Tense. They are briefly called verb precetions.)
      1) অনুভূতি বুজোৱা (explaining feelings) 2) আবেগ বুজোৱা (explaining emotions) 3) বোধ, জ্ঞান আদি সূচক ( Indicators like sense, knowledge etc) 4) আন আন কিছুমান (Others ) ।
উদাহৰণ:- 1) মই আকাশত এখন উৰাজাহাজ দেখি আছো।
I see an aeroplane in the sky.
2) মই এটা শব্দ শুনিবলৈ পাইছো।
I hear a sound.
3) সি এজন ইজ্ঞিনীয়াৰ হবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰিছো।
He wants to be an egineer.
4) মোৰ বৰ ভাগৰ লাগিছে।
I feel very tired.
5) সেই ঘটনাটো এতিয়াও মোৰ মনত পৰি আছে।
I still remember that incident .
6) তুমি কৃতকাৰ্য হবা বুলি আশা কৰিছো।
